Initial LRIP C-130H AMP Arrives at Little Rock

Delivery to the US Air Force of the first low rate initial production Lockheed C-130H Hercules upgraded at the Warner Robins Air Logistic Center under the Avionics Modernization Program (AMP) took place on January 3. The transport departed the facility at Robins AFB, Georgia, for Little Rock AFB, Arkansas, where it will take part in the initial operational testing and evaluation of the upgrade which was due to start in late January. The aircraft is the fourth Hercules upgraded under AMP. A fifth is currently being worked on at Robins AFB and is due to be delivered in February.
