Norway to Extend its F-16s' Service Lives

New wings will be installed on the Luftforsvaret's (Royal Norwegian Air Force) F-16 Fighting Falcon fleet to ensure that they can remain operational until the delivery of the Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II. Norway expects to take delivery of its first F-35As in 2018 and the aircraft will become operational in 2020, two years later than originally expected.
