VC10 Fleet Reductions

No.101 Squadron's fleet of VC10 tanker-transports is decreasing as more examples are withdrawn. On December 12 VC10 ClKs XV102/T (c 832) and XV107/T (c 837) departed RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, for Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire, where they will be scrapped. Both aircraft had been withdrawn from operational service on November 30. They were followed by XVIOI/'S' (c 831) one week latter, which returned to RAF Brize Norton on November 29 from supporting Operation Herrick over Afghanistan.
