At midday on December 13, 2011, the last to be built of 195 Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor fighters, tail number 09-4195, was rolled out from the production line at the Marietta, Georgia factory. Final assembly of all 195 fighters had taken place at the site, putting together components from plants at Fort Worth, Texas and Palmdale, California. It was a festive occasion, with a marching band playing stirring music, flags flying, and speeches by dignitaries to an audience of hundreds of employees and military personnel, leading up to a formal signing of the DD-250 form that marked the F-22's transfer to the US Air Force.
