NHIndustries' NH90 helicopter has suffered more than its fair share of developmental delays that typically afflict advanced programmes. The NHIndustries consortium of AgustaWestland, Eurocopter and Fokker was established in 1992, and the first prototype of the new helicopter (PT1) flew for the first time on December 18, 1995. The first series NH90 TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) was scheduled for delivery to Germany in 2004 but suffered a two-year delay.
