Bangladesh Navy Prepares for Do 228NGs

Ruag expects to deliver the first of two Dornier Do 228NGs to the Bangladesh Navy in April after export clearance has been granted. It should be followed in late May by the second aircraft. However, the Swiss company is hoping the Bangladesh Navy will agree to delay delivery of the second aircraft, so it can appear at the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget in June. Three pilots have already been trained in Germany and the co-pilots will be trained in Bangladesh by a company pilot, after they have completed their basic training in Germany.
