Singaporean low-cost carrier Scoot has confirmed its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (9V-OJA, c 37112) will start operating in January. The aircraft was painted in November and will be delivered in December. The airline is yet to confirm its first route, but global distribution service data reported by Airlineroute.net says Scoot will use its 787-9 on Singapore to Sydney and Perth routes in March, and to Gold Coast and Bangkok the following month. The aircraft is configured with 340 economy and 35 premium seats. Further Dreamliner deliveries over coming months will enable Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, to replace its six Boeing 777-200ERS by the middle of next year. It has ordered ten 787-9s and ten 787-8s.
