KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has retired its last McDonnell Douglas MD-11, PH-KCE Audrey Hepburn (c 48559, ex N91566). The aircraft's final revenue service was KL962 from Montreal to Amsterdam Schiphol on October 26, which received a water cannon salute as it taxied to its gate. Three enthusiast flights were conducted on November 11. With Biman Bangladesh Airlines retiring its last DC-10s in March the Dutch location marked the end of tri jet passenger airliners, although more than 150 MD-11 Freighters are still used by cargo carriers.
