The world's largest low-cost carrier, Southwest Airlines, has unveiled a major rebranding with a new aircraft liverv, logo and airport experience. The airline said the scheme, named 'Heart', is designed to reflect the dedication of its staff and that "the time was right" to refresh as it starts international services and completes the integration of AirTran Airways. It includes a heart symbol on the belly of the aircraft. The revamp, which it describes as "a modern expression" of the airline's 40-year history, is the first since the introduction of the 'Canyon Blue' livery in 2001.
