By the time this issue hits the newsstands, it will be Halloween. I've always preferred it to Christmas, but my Halloween memories are of chilly Irish evenings spent running terrified through the local graveyard rather than the ubiquitous 'Trick or Treating' so popular with children today. However you regard this time of year, for many of us, the nights are drawing in and there is a real sensation - particularly in the COVID-19 era - of hunkering down and taking stock. Not in the aviation sector, I am happy to report. Battered and bloody after 18 months of pandemic, it continues to innovate and plan.
