EVEN FEWER Airbus A380s will return to service as the super jumbo's presence in air transport continues to diminish due to airline restructuring.Malaysia Airlines' parent company, Malaysia Aviation Group, announced in early May that it plans to dispose of all six of its examples, in storage since the COVID-19 pandemic began, while Etihad Airways has confirmed it will not return its ten examples to service, instead focusing on smaller widebodies.Lufthansa and Qatar Airways do not envisage flying the A380 again, and Thai Airways International is to sell two of its six A380s. Air France and Hi Fly have already phased it out. There will still be A380 operators. Emirates recently committed to the type well into the 2030s; it has 117 in its fleet and five more deliveries due. British Airways (12 jets), Singapore Airlines (12), Qantas Airways (12),Korean Air (ten), Asiana (six), China Southern Airlines (five) and All Nippon Airways (three) are the only other operators.
