Saab eyes global outlook

Micael Johansson has been the president and CEO of Saab since October 2019. Having worked with the Swedish company for the past 35 years, he hit the ground running, particularly as his previous role was deputy CEO-senior executive VP from January 2017. However, the onset of COVID-19 last March meant he was forced to confront situations he had never faced before. Meeting at the NATO Days in Ostrava air show in the Czech Republic in September 2020, Johansson told AIR International: "Setting up crisis management teams and contingency initiatives to make sure that operations were up and running was a major response to the pandemic. My biggest satisfaction was how the Saab personnel reacted.
