Based at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, No.41(R) Squadron sets itself apart from the other fast jet units based there - it is the only one not to operate the Typhoon. The former Jaguar GR3 squadron is now the Operational Evaluation Unit (OEU) for the Tornado GR4 and Harrier GR9. Its role is to test new equipment and tactics for the Tornado GR4 Force and Joint Force Harrier.
