The first Airbus A320 assembled at Tianjin, the capital of the province with the same name in China, was due to begin high-speed runway trials prior to a first flight in the second half of May. Two aircraft have already been assembled, with engines fitted, and have been painted in customer colours at the plant. The first aircraft (c 3591) has been acquired by Dragon Aviation Leasing and was due to be delivered to Sichuan Airlines by the end of June, while the second is destined for Hainan Airlines.
