Naval Fulcrums For India...and Russia

Four milyan MiG-29K Fulcrum-D carrier-borne fighters have been delivered to the Indian Navy, according to the head of RSK MiG, Mikhail Pogosyan. They have been inspected by Indian technical staff and that country's pilots are currently undertaking a five-month flight training course. Mr Pogosyan made the announcement on February 12 at Aero India 2009 in Bangalore, India.rnAll 12 aircraft are due to be delivered by the end of 2009, along with fourtwo-seat MiG-29KUBs. They are destined to serve on the INS Vikramaditya, the former Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov due to join the Indian Navy in 2012.
