Last Sentinel Delivered

Raytheon systems delivered the last of five Sentinel R.1s (ZJ7694) to 5(AC) Squadron at RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire, it was announced on February 10. The ￡954 million Airborne Stand-Off Radar (ASTOR) contract also includes six tactical ground station units, two operational level ground station units, support vehicles, an extensive and sophisticated support infrastructure. The latter will include a mission planning and mission data replay facility, mission system rectification and software facility, operational training simulator, training school and squadron headquarters buildings.rnRaytheon will continue to deliver support services over the next ten years via a Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) programme, including Contractor Support to Deployed Operations (CONDO).
