Additional Global Hawks Ordered

Northrop Grumman SystemsrnCorporation was awarded a $303.3 million (￡207.8 million) contract by the US Air Force on May 18 for two RQ-4B Block 30 and two Block 40 Global Hawks. All four are being acquired using funding from the fiscal year 2010 budget. On the same day the company was given a separate contract worth $287.4 (￡196.7 million) for five Airborne Signals Intelligence Payloadsrn(ASIP), two of which will be installed on new production Global Hawks, while the other three will be integrated on existing examples of the unmanned air vehicle.
