Canada Accepts CC-130J Hercules

The Canadian Forces formally accepted the first Lockheed Martin CC-130J Hercules (130601, c 5626) into service with 8 Wing during a ceremony at Canadian Forces Base Trenton, Ontario, on June 4. The transport is the first of 17 that are on order and was welcomed into service by the Canadian Minister of National Defence the Honourable Peter MacKay. It will be joined by the second aircraft (130602, c 5627) shortly.
