Airbuses For Senegal Airlines

Airbus announced on November 18 that it has signed a Letter of Intent with Senegal Airlines to deliver four A320s family airliners and two A330s. Senegal Airlines is due to be launched in early 2010 to fly services from a hub at Dakar to destinations in Africa and Europe. The carrier is being created to replace Air Senegal International,rnwhich ceased operations in April 2009 after a dispute between that airline's owners, the Senegalese Government and Royal Air Maroc (see Air Senegal International Ceases Operations, July 2009 p20). The Senegalese Government revealed that it would establish a new flag carrier in October 2009.
