First European G500 Delivered

GULFSTREAM HAS delivered a G500 to the type's initial European operator, marking the service entry of the long-range business jet in the region. The handover at the manufacturer's facility at Savannah, Georgia, was announced on November 25. Although Gulfstream has declined to identify the customer, it is understood to be Blackbird Air Charter of Billund, Denmark, to which G500 N519GD (c 72019) was registered as OY-WLD. In keeping with the company's name, the aircraft is painted in an all-over black scheme. The G500 arrived in Denmark for the first time on October 28, flying from John F Kennedy International Airport in New York to Billund, having departed Savannah two days earlier.
