Boeing and Embraer "continue to work closely together" to establish their joint venture (JV). The JV, to be named Boeing Brasil - Commercial and approved by Embraer shareholders in February, will be made up of the commercial aircraft and services operations of Embraer. It will be 80% owned by Boeing, with Embraer holding the remaining 20%. Boeing said both companies "are actively engaged with authorities in relevant jurisdictions" to secure full regulatory approval for the JV. A US federal Trade Commission has cleared the deal, but the European Commission said in October it will further review the transaction. Boeing said: "Based on this development, the companies now expect the transaction to Close in early 2020." Mark Broadbent
