Japan donates TC-90s to the Philippines

Five Beechcraft TC-90 aircraft leased to the Philippines will be donated to the country, following a change in Japanese law that now permits the donation of second-hand military equipment. The aircraft were original part of a one-year lease deal signed between Tokyo and Manila in September 2016. Japanese sources said the request to change the deal from a leasing agreement to a donation was made by the Philippine Government and approved by Japan's Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency.
