A1C Carl L. Anderson Jr., of Georgetown, S.C., was killed Aug. 29 while on duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Anderson, who joined the Air Force in December 2001, died when his supply convoy was struck by the explosion of a roadside bomb near Mosul in northern Iraq. He was deployed with the 732nd Expeditionary Mission Support Group from the 3rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska.
