Operation Enduring Freedom

CasualtiesAs of March 20, 2013, a total of 2,181 Americans had died in Operation Enduring Freedom. The total includes 2,178 troops and three Department of Defense civilians. Of these deaths, 1,722 were killed in action with the enemy, while 458 died in noncombat incidents.There have been 18,348 troops wounded in action during OEF.
