Columbus, Ohio — "Partnering": The word, though usually gen- uine in intent, often has really meant for some contractors that they should wait for the other shoe to drop when anyone came calling with that promise. Members of the state chapters of the Air Conditioning Contractors of Ohio (ACCO) and the Plumbing -Heating-Cooling Contractors of Ohio (PHCC Ohio) discovered in 2001 that they could walk a mile in each other's shoes. Ohio is the first and only state to have the HVAC association partner mutual concerns with a predominant plumbing association. The groups found value in combining their efforts for the many similar interests and issues that affect both associations.
