If there was at least one supposed winner out of the UPS-TNT buyout debacle, it was Liege airport, in Belgium. It had the solace oi" claiming the consolation prize of an assurance that TNT Express would retain the Belgium airport as its European hub. But, there would appear to be little joy among Liege airport management over the outcome.
