Application of chimera/unstructured hybrid grids for conjugate heat transfer

A method is presented that computes the conjugate heat transfer problem using hybrid overset gird system. The hybrid grids for the fluid and solid structure regions use Chimera overset structured grids and unstructured Grids, respectively. The numerical analyses require the flowfield solution and material thermal response to be Obtained simultaneously. A continuous transfer of temperature and heat flux is enforced t the interface, which Combines the solid structure and the fluid flow regions into an integral system.
