Delays in building the GR5 gas pipeline could hold Total and GDF back from exporting their future output. A year after winning a hard-fought battle for the Ahnet field (AEI 620) France's Total unveiled its plans to develop the field early this month to the Agence Nationale pour la Valorisation des Ressources en Hydrocarbures (ALNAFT). The group, which committed itself to producing a minimum of 4 billion cu.m./year on the field, is to invest $2 billion and wants to start producing gas in 2015.
