Despite a drop of around 50% in its share price since last May, the British junior Ophir Energy hopes to make the most out of its investments in Africa - and this even though it recently diversified into South East Asia. To maximise its African holdings the company created the post of Africa director in early January and handed the key job to Oliver Quinn, its former new acquisitions chief.
