The Namibian mining industry's annual conference demonstrated how ESG is at the core of Windhoek's mining development strategy. The private sector is very much on board in the bid to give the country an advantage over its African rivals. The Mining Expo & Conference, held on 1 September by the Chamber of Mines of Namibia (CoMN) via video conference due to Covid-19, once again brought together the top brass of the local mining scene. An ideal opportunity for industry leaders to profess their support for the government's post-pandemic plans to make Namibia a showcase for sustainable mining.
