AAOG struggles to reset after Tilapia sale, Zenith in unknown territory

The UK British mining junior is looking for new opportunities after selling its Congo branch AAOG Congo, operator of its only asset, the Tilapia oilfield. Meanwhile, the field's new owner has not been able to renew the license. Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) has been a shadow of itself since it sold its Congolese subsidiary AAOG Congo to Zenith Energy in May 2020. AAOG Congo was the operator of AAOG's only asset, the Tilapia oilfield. The payroll is now down to just three directors: London banker Sarah Cope, South African geologist and consultant Dexter Ferreira and financial analyst Tania Maciver. All of its Congolese staff have been laid off.
