Alibaba, Sipromad, and Pangea IT eager to work on World Bank's digitalisation project

IT specialists are growing impatient with the slowprogress of the Prodigy digital governance and identitymanagement project launched in 2019. Alibaba - recentlyabandoned by its founder Jack Ma following a $2.3bn fine imposed by the Xi Jinping regime, with which it is atodds - is the best known of those vying to set up theproject's identity management component, whichaccounts for $86m of the World Bank's $140m fundingfor Prodigy. But the online retail giant is not among thefavorites.
