Tourism operators press for reopening of borders

The Confederation nationale du tourisme (CNT),Morocco's tourism operators' association, is intending tobring pressure to bear on the tourism minister NadiaFettah Alaoui on the highly sensitive subject ofreopening the country's borders. The organisation, whichis presided over by Abdellatif Kabbaj, is to commission abenchmark survey of Morocco's main competitors,namely Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Egypt and Dubai.Most of these countries are gearing up to reopen totourists - or have already done so - sometimes on thecondition that visitors provide negative PCR test resultsor vaccination certificates.
