Since 10 April, Kenyan firm Dinlas Pharma has been struggling to obtain the necessary authorisations to reexport 75,000 doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccines. The company is seeking to sell its doses as it can no longer use them since the health ministry banned Sputnik V on 2 April, shortly after the company obtained a short-lived license from the national drug regulator Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) to distribute the vaccine.
