From Cotonou lounge bars to Roissy's VIP lounges: Maixent Accrombessi's second life

It was the big event for the jet-set in Cotonou: on the evening of 7 October, the businessman Ulrich Adjovi opened his new club, the Cocotiers Lounge, in the eponymous district of Cotonou. This area of town was built by Ebomaf, the construction firm owned by Mahamadou Bonkoungou, who regularly places his private jet at the disposal of the Beninese president Patrice Talon. The new and immaculate Cocotiers neighbourhood is home to the residences of many Beninese VIPs, including the expresident Nicéphore Soglo. The former chief of staff of the Gabonese leader Ali Bongo, the Beninese businessman Maixent Accrombessi, also has an abode there. Very close to Adjovi (Africa Intelligence, 01/07/20), who recently opened two other clubs in Cotonou as well as a hair salon, he was among the select guests at the opening of the Cocotiers Lounge.
