摘要

Sensors are more and more integrated in complex systems and information systems, in order to provide more coherent, efficient, and reactive processes. Such an evolution requires the development of suitable signal, image, and information processing concepts, as well as specific automatic control techniques. On the one hand, disparate data have to be managed in an appropriate way from the observation up to the decision level, according to their specificities. On the other hand, useful information has to be obtained thanks to dynamical processes of resource management, such that the whole system conforms to the evolutive needs, environments, and contexts it has to face. Therefore, sensors have to be considered as part of interactive components, with some degrees of cooperative autonomy, so that both individual and collective behavior optimizations are necessary to face a variety of functional constraints and multipurpose requirements with limited resources.
