Airbus unveils the cabin of 2050

On 13 June, ahead of the Paris Air Show, Airbus invited VIP guests and the media on a trip to Greenwich, London, to unveil its 'Concept Cabin' of a 2050-era airliner. Hosted by Charles Champion, Airbus evp engineering, the launch was a follow up to last year's Concept Plane vision - revealed at the Farnborough air show. This future concept vision is, says Airbus, to allow their engineers 'to dream' and envisage a plausible airliner cabin that could be possible by 2050 - and was driven by a survey of 10,000 young people about their expectations of air travel in the future. The survey found young people still wanting to travel, but travel 'green in a connected and interactive way. So what treats do Airbus see as being in store for the passenger of 2050?
