Following completion of an eight-year rebuild by Keith Williams and Mike Thorn in Warwickshire, Bristol Scout D replica BAPC.38 is due to go on display with the Bristol Aero Collection at Kemble. Originally built by apprentices at RAF Weeton for the 1962 Royal Tournament, the Scout was hung on ropes above Olympia's arena and "flown" in a dogfight with a Fokker Dr I. The Scout's appearance has been greatly enhanced by a new undercarriage, seat, instrument panel with period instruments, replica Lewis gun and an original Scout propeller.
