B-17 Swamp Ghost to leave PNG soon?

On September 10 the director of Papua New Guinea's (PNG) National Museum, Simon Poraituk, announced that Boeing B-17E Swamp Ghost will soon be exported to the USA. The historic bomber was salvaged from the remote Agaiambo Swamp in Oro province in May 2006 by Alfred Hagen's Philadelphia-based Aero Archaeology (AA) company, but got no further than the dockside at Lae after the country's National Executive Council (NEC) blocked its export.
