Robin Worth mentions the one-off Capelis XC-12, an enlarged Beech 18 lookalike, used in the film Flying Tigers as a bomber and later for ground shots in other films after it was grounded by structural failure. Flying sequences were shot using a model which survived after World War Two, although the XC-12 was scrapped in 1943. Mr Worth asks if there is any more information on the XC-12? Coincidentally, we had a letter from Mr E. Prior asking the identity of this aircraft.
