Catalina on the move at last

Eight years after it arrived at Lee-on-Solent, Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina N423RS left the Hampshire airfield for a temporary new home at North Weald on December 8, 2009. Built in 1943, the amphibian has been restored in the open air to ferrying condition by Catalina/DC-3 specialist Clive Edwards and his team over the past year for owners PBY Aviation. The crew for the flight were Chris Goezinne, who regularly flies DutchrnPBY Association Consolidated Catalina PH-PBY at Lelystad, and John Dodd.
