Connie to rejoin show circuit

The Breitling Lockheed Super Constellation was rolled out in a new colour scheme at Lahr Airport, south-west Germany, on April 30, and will fly at shows again this summer after missing the 2010 season. The former United States Air Force Lockheed C-121C, now registered HB-RSC and operated by the Super Constellation Flyers Association, had been grounded at Lahr since the discovery of corrosion in the wings during a major inspection in December 2009. Repairs were completed in time for the 1956-built beauty to get airborne on April 10 for the first time in more than 18 months, after which it was flown to Zurich Airport for repainting.
