Mosquito men at the RAF Club

On april 16 the RAF Club in London hosted a reunion of more than 40 de Havilland Mosquito air and ground crew. Among those present were former 235 Sqn "Mozzie" crew Fit Lt Ray Harington and his navigator, W/O Bert Winwood, who flew together as part of the legendary Banff Strike Wing in Scotland. The two veterans unveiled a bronze of a Mosquito crew, commissioned by event organiser David Coeshall and sculpted by noted Somerset-based artist Peter Close. A limited edition of 250 will be available priced at £320 each including delivery, 20 per cent of the proceeds being donated to the restoration of Mosquito prototype W4050 at the de Havilland Heritage Centre, Salisbury Hall.
