Bleriot on show in Stockholm

Ninety-three years after Swedish aviation pioneer Enoch Thulin displayed two of his company's aircraft in Stockholm's famous NK department store, a Thulin-built Bleriot XI was put on temporary display in the beautiful atrium at the store onjanuary 17. The Thulin A/Bleriot, SE-AEC, is owned by The Museum of Science and Technology in Stockholm, and was restored during 2009-10 by Bleriot display pilot Mikael Carlson. It made its flying debut at the Stockholm Festival of Flight in August 2010, powered by its original 50 h.p. Thulin-built copy of the Gnome Omega rotary.
