Former fleet air Arm (FAA) Grumman Goose Mk 2 FP511 arrived at Felts Field, Spokane, Washington, in the USA on March 11, having been acquired by Pemberton and Sons Aviation from the Palm Springs Air Museum in California. The amphibian will now be restored to flying condition by a team led by company founder Addison Pemberton, who says: "We figure it will take about 3,000hr to strip, corrosion-proof and repaint the airplane, along with new systems, interior, engines and props. The aircraft came with two zero-time Pratt & Whitney R-985s, but they'll need to be overhauled again as they have been sitting for 18 years."
