We Speak from the Air -WW2 Broadcasts from the RAF

During 1941-43 the Air Ministry and Ministry of Information issued almost 1,200 radio broadcasts made by RAF personnel describing its operational and combat experiences, which were extremely popular. The public wanted to know what was going on and these broadcasts provided more than 50 transcripts published in two volumes, We Speak from the Air and Over To You which are now published as a single volume for the first time. We Speak from the Air describes operations over Britain and the Continent and covers 74 pages. It includes stories of a Hudson capturing a U-boat and another shooting down a Focke-Wulf Condor (another Condor was shot down by a Havoc in a night raid on German airfields), attacks on shipping off Norway, a Catalina shadowing the Bismarck, a Beaufort low-level raid on Nantes, accounts of RAF Fortress operations and some 23 further accounts.
