Courtesy of Aces High Aviation Gallery, this superb painting by Robert Taylor is used on the cover of this issue and also within the article Operation Chastise - How it might have been. It is shown in its full form here, and depicts "Dinghy" Young flying Lancaster AJ-A on Operation Chastise, heading through flak and machine-gun fire towards the Mohne dam at precisely 60ft, having just released the cylindrical, hydrostatically-triggered Upkeep "bouncing bomb". This is just one of many Dam Busters prints available in various editions from Aces High, which bear the signatures of numerous wartime 617 Sqn personnel.
