Hnhampered by tradition and given somewhat free rein to explore the laws of aerodynamics, the late war German aircraft designers produced some of the most advanced aircraft of their era. The end of the war in 1945 meant that many of these creations were destined to remain on the drawing board, but one that progressed to the flight phase was the Dornier Do 335 Pfeil (Arrow).
