Hello, and welcome to the April issue of Aeroplane. We've had such awful wet and dismal weather here in the UK for so many months that i hope the free 16-page pull-out Air Show 2014 supplement will give us all a boost as to what we have to look forward to in better weather to come! i was lucky to attend Warbirds Downunder at the Temora Aviation Museum in Australia late last year, and it was a delight all round. Not only did I get to enjoy some glorious Australian "summer" weather, having somehow luckily managed to just get to Heathrow Airport escaping those terrible winds in the UK at that time (when the whole rail network appeared to be closed), but I was also offered the most amazing photo-shoot I have ever experienced. The results have been in evidence in the past few issues of Aeroplane, and this month the Lockheed Hudson features on the cover.
