A new project has just been commissioned by Hangar 10 to rebuild its Hispano HA-1112 Buchon (D-FMVS ex N109W) into a very unique two-seat configuration, to enable the collection to offer customer rides in a "Bf 109" which when available will be a totally unique experience that is not available anywhere else in the world. The Buchon sadly suffered damage in a taxying incident in April 2013 when it was tipped up onto its nose by a German pilot on soft ground during taxi trials. This was immediately prior to what had been a planned first test flight of the year for the aircraft in 2013.
